HOLY LAND MINISTRIES

The Holy Land Ministries is a ministry serving in the city of Hebron, Israel. This ministry provides a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ through a Christian Home & School located in Hebron. There children learn firsthand about Christ and His love for them. The school is located in a predominately Muslim area of Israel that can be very hostile to the Gospel, but in spite of this God is blessing this ministry in great ways, thus providing Himself a great witness there in Hebron. Our Church is blessed to be able to partner with this ministry by sponsoring a child so that Holy Land Ministries will have the resources available to minister to this soul.

 Ministry to the Persecuted Church in Vietnam

Unfortunately around this world not everywhere is there freedom to worship God without the threat of persecution, and so is the case in Vietnam. Even though the Vietnamese government has professed to allow religious freedoms all one has to do is simply look to see being a Christian in Vietnam can be very costly. Here at LFCOG we remember what God instructs us in Hebrews 13:3 to "Remember those in bonds as if bound with them ... " That is why we count it a privilege to partner with Claude and Bao Taylor in ministering to our brothers and sisters in Vietnam. Following God's instruction, Claude and Bao have, now in their retirement years, taken up residence in Vietnam and established an orphanage for children that would otherwise be literally cast into the streets. This ministry has other facets as well that include training of Pastors and Church workers, providing schools for tribal children that would not be allowed a government sponsored education, outreach to leper colonies and AIDS victims. These are just a few of the many ways God is reaching out through this ministry in Vietnam to show His love for the people there.

New Dawn International Ministries, under the care of Dick and Jennie Chandler, operate Camp New Dawn in the beautiful scenic cove of Walker county, Ga. This particular part of their ministry has been a blessing for us at LFCOG. Our people have been able to have more of a hand-on experience in ministry with the work of God. Our Pastor participates as a member of the Board for the ministry, but also serves as Camp Pastor. Our people in the Church have been able to share in this ministry through fund raising, maintenance, as well as working during camp season as counselors and support staff. Over the past few years we have been extremely blessed to see God reach out to so many lives of the children that attend the camp.
